That's A Lot Of Songs

Mark Elliot Cullen is a poet who decided to post one original recorded song a day in 2008. That's a lot of songs.

"

Mark hopes that this project will develop his skills as a songwriter and will help him understand the medium. It could be seen as a diary of development, but he also hopes it serves as entertainment for casual listeners and a resource for other musicians who want to borrow material or get ideas. Before this project began he had never written or recorded an original song. 366 Songs uses an Edisonian model based entirely on trial and error. Admittedly Mark has had no substantial musical training and typically wrote poetry prior to beginning the project.

"

Mark's secret weapon is a decidedly unperfectonlist approach, and as a result I can guarantee that he will be a much, much better songwriter by the end of 2008. Inspiring!
